| Conversion Formula For Contract Goods |
If you have square footage for a Contract job, the easiest way to calculate yards is as follows:
If your material is:
54 wide, divide by 42 36 30 27 25 20.5
13.5 10.5 9.0 7.5 6.75 6.27 5.13
THIS GIVES YOU ACTUAL AND DOES NOT INCLUDE WASTE Example: 890 sq. ft. material is 30 wide sisal, 890 divided by 7.5 = 118 yards needed

| 4 Easy Steps To An Accurate Estimate |
1. Measure the entire distance in feet around the room. (2 x length + 2 x width) 2. Multiply this by the height of the walls in feet. 3. This gives you the total square feet of wall area to be covered. 4. Divide this number by the number of square feet in a roll of the wall covering pattern you have chosen. This gives you the number of rolls to order. Note: By not deducting for windows, doors or other non covered spaces, you will be sure to order enough wall covering to complete the room the first time. This will avoid the possibility of reordering later from a different production run where colors may not match exactly. |
